Chicago O'Hare Airport Departures

If you are leaving Chicago on a flight, you can go to both the airports there. Either O’Hare or Midway will be your choice. As both of them are international airports you need not have to face any problems with the flights at all. You can take a cab or hire a car and reach the airport on time. It is very important that you reach the airport at least about 2 – 3 hours before your flight leaves. It is because, there are various procedures, that you have to go through and those procedures require time. If you are an American citizen and you are going to a place within the USA the situation will be less complicated for you.

The whole procedure will be far more extensive and time consuming, if you are a USA citizen and you are going to a foreign country or if you are a Foreigner and leaving for your country after finishing your tour or your job. You have to go through a security check, you have to show your visa and passport and you may have to show some other documents. All these things can take up a long time and if you reach the airport late, you may miss your flight.

Waiting at an airport both to get on a plane and after getting off of a plane is tiring. So, airport authorities, normally arrange for some entertainment to make that stay a little more bearable. If you are travelling with a kid and have some time at hand you can roam around the airport. Always remember to keep an ear on the announcements though. You can eat something, go window shopping or actually buy things. Apart from all these you have to be alert, keep an eye on your possessions and keep important documents, ticket and boarding pass at hand, so that there are no unnecessary hazards.
